In 2 Corinthians 1, we discover that God is the Father of all mercies, that He is the God of all comfort, and that He comforts us in all our troubles. We also discover that we are able to comfort others with the same comfort that we receive from God. God, in His absolute sovereignty, can choose any vessel for providing comfort. We believe that God has chosen to use dogs to provide comfort in countless ways. In keeping with the example from 2 Corinthians 1, we are committed to seeking out any who feel hopeless, isolated, lonely, afraid, or hurting, trusting that God can use us and our companion dogs to comfort others in the same way that we have been comforted. Most urgently, we know that the ultimate, eternal form of comfort can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, therefore we are committed to sharing the gospel with every person that God brings into our lives.
